Craig Cunningham Senior Vice President
Mr. Cunningham is Senior Vice President of Wells Nelson & Associates, LLC (“WNA”) and has been employed by WNA since March of 2002. Prior to joining WNA, Mr. Cunningham was Vice President of Sterne, Agee & Leach, Inc. a regional investment bank based in Birmingham, Alabama from 1999 to 2002 and an associate banker with Stephens Inc. a regional investment bank based in Little Rock, Arkansas from 1997 to 1999. Mr. Cunningham specializes in public finance with an emphasis on real estate and economic development finance. During his career, Mr. Cunningham has been the primary investment banker on several innovative municipal real-estate transactions including “public-private” partnership transactions with the City of Oklahoma City, Fairfax County, VA, the City of Houston, TX, Harris County, TX and the University of Colorado. Transaction structures have included the use of municipal leases, revenue bonds, federal and state historic tax credits, new market tax credits and tax increment financing. Financed facilities include utility plants, public safety facilities, health care facilities, public health and social services facilities, office buildings, hotels and manufacturing facilities.
From 1988 to 1997, Mr. Cunningham worked for Liberty Bank and Trust Company of Tulsa, N.A (“Liberty Tulsa”). As a Senior Vice President and Manager of the Corporate Trust Department at Liberty Tulsa, Mr. Cunningham participated in the closing, and administration of over 300 public finance transactions. He is a Series 7 and 63 licensed securities professional and received a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri where he graduated with honors. Mr. Cunningham is married with two children and resides in Frisco, Texas.
