James B. Lisle Senior Vice President
Mr. Lisle attended Occidental College in Los Angeles, California from 1966 to 1970 graduating with a BA in Business Administration. From 1971 to 1973, Jim attended the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Business and received his MBA in Finance. Jim began his career in 1973 working in New York for Arbitrage Management Company with Harry Markowitz who is considered the father of modern portfolio theory and who won the Nobel Prize in economics in 1990. From 1976 to 1978, Jim worked for Dean Witter as a broker. In 1978 he helped open an office for Rotan Mosle, a regional firm specializing in oil and gas, which was later purchased by Paine Webber. In 1986, Jim began working for Stifel Nicolaus. The Oklahoma and Texas offices of Stifel Nicolaus were purchased by Capital West Securities in 1995 where Jim was a Director and served as President and Chief Operating Officer until joining the sales team of Wells Nelson & Associates in November 2007. With 34 years in the industry, Jim looks forward to providing his clients with continued quality service they have come to expect.
Jim holds a Series 7, 24 and 63 certifications. He is also currently a Licensed Insurance Agent.
